Two Months

Lainey has been doing well after her first round of shots. Here are the stats from the ped appointment: 70th percentile for height (22 3/4"), 50th for weight (10lb 12oz) and 30th for head.

Now she is sleeping a consistent 7-8 hours every night, followed by an extra 2 hours. Then she has her 3-hour morning nap after that. Talk about a good sleeper! This has given me more time to get back in the kitchen and it feels quite good. Parenthood gets easier for us with each passing day as we recognize Lainey's needs and keep as much routine as possible, especially in the evenings.

Sitting, standing and talking are her new hobbies (besides eating and sleeping). She is beginning to really enjoy just sitting up against the couch trying to grab her feet, talk to/hit her moose toy in her lap, or watch tv if it's on. Her talking is very quiet and cute, but sometimes she gets pretty vocal and makes a nonsensical sentence. Of course afterward she thinks it's the coolest thing and does her big laugh-like smile. Learning is fun!

Her hair is growing back in pretty quickly, as you can see in the pic. We are looking forward to seeing what she looks like with a full head of hair and still waiting for her eyes to decide which color they want to be.
