Baby Steps

We tried to get Lainey to walk with us holding her hands a long time ago; she had no idea what she was supposed to do with her legs, so she just stood there, as stiff as a statue, which was fine by us since we wanted her to crawl first. I tried it again today now that she is standing a lot more working on her balance. It was successful. Here she is doing it for Jason after he got home from work.

Other goings-on (that I can think of at the moment) with the 7-month old:

The army crawl is now the preferred method of transportation. No video of that yet; we'll wait until she gets fast.

Food is the greatest thing ever invented. She just can't get enough. She's been eating a lot of table food that we share with her when we eat (or she gets mad), so she has experienced a lot of textures and is learning to munch and bite with her two front teeth.

Lastly, here's a picture of her after a nap. She is always grabbing at the crib rails and bumper trying to stand. I believe it's time to drop the mattress.
