In general, Lainey has always been pretty easy-going. If something bothered her, she didn't complain. She's quiet, cautious and independent. Aside from "user error" that is new parents in the early days, she was a fairly easy baby. She's still the mama's girl everybody thought she was.
Marin, on the other hand, is a papa's girl. She's adventurous and not cautious. She's feisty and more needy. She WAS NOT an easy baby. (SORRY, MARIN.) Because she is our littlest for now, she comes across to us, herself, her sister and others, as the baby. This baby attitude she's been exposed to since she was born has kept her more attached to my hip than Lainey ever was. Naturally, she's been held more. Naturally, she's been allowed to cry less in order not to disrupt her sister. And that's just the way it is in survival mode.
They're quite opposites, really. For now.
Climbing and standing on things is her new favorite activity, besides throwing tantrums, pointing (finally!) and identifying the features on her head and face.
Potty-training is in the near future, whether she likes it or not.
