9 Months

Here are Lainey's latest measurements and developments. The doctor thinks her weight has dropped in percentile (not weight - she's up 1lb since 6 months) because she's not getting "3 square meals a day" and eats mainly starches. Okay... We think it's because she's much more active than the average 9-month old:

Weight: 17lbs 4oz (25th percentile)
Height: 27 1/2" (but she's actually 29" as we've measured her at home)

- Crawling everywhere, pulling up to stand, moving from place to place while standing if said 2 places are close to each other, and climbing up stairs.

- Saying mama, dada, nana and a variety of other syllables. Working on her papa and mimicking other common words, like bye-bye.

- Responding accurately (by looking at, waving or pointing) to: hi, hola, bye, adios, where's your nose?, where's your feet?, what's the moo-cow say?, where's your toothbrush/pumpkin/papa/Hudson?

- Giving and receiving various objects.

- Hugging and kissing people and stuffed animals.

- Pointing with index finger rather than whole fist.

- 2 bottom teeth, 1 top tooth, with nearly all remaining top teeth about to poke through.
